This site contains information and sources for the Klaas Kroeker<\/strong> (1720-1788) family. This Klaas married a Magdalena Penner<\/strong>. They had a son Klaas (married Maria Werner<\/strong>) who had a son Jacob (1836-1914 Lost River, Saskatchewan) who married Anna Zacharias<\/strong>, daughter of Jacob and Anna (Ginter).\u00a0 This family originated in the Chortitza Colony in South Russia and immigrated to the West Reserve in South-Western Manitoba in 1876.<\/p>\n

Jacob had a son Klaas (1860-1928) who married Helena Dueck, daughter of his father\u2019s second wife Helena, a widow, who had been married to Hermann Dueck<\/strong> (1833-1883); Helena\u2019s maiden name was Fehr<\/strong> (her father was Isaac Fehr, mother Maria Falk<\/strong>). Jacob Jr. married a Giestbrecht<\/strong>, I would love information on them! Also, there are quite a number of Neufeld<\/strong>‘s married into this family so I am making an attempt to follow this Neufeld family as well.<\/p>\n

Klaas and Helena\u2019s oldest daughter Helena was married to my grandfather David H. Peters<\/strong>. There is a sub-heading under the Kroeker’s on that family.<\/p>\n
