She wrote these in recollection, so they were written as she recalled them in her later years.

Some have said Minnie suffered from some sort of depression or bipolar disorder through her early years, and perhaps dementia in later years, however it seems from this assortment of stories she has recalled persons names in particularly impressive numbers, for the stories describe a who’s-who of persons living in Tregarva, Lumsden, and area during the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.

It took some considerable doing on my part to track down someone who had a complete hard copy of Minnie’s memoir’s and was willing to scan them for me over a short period of time. That was Ann Gibbs, a relative on my husband’s side, as are the McNeice’s. Thank-you again Ann! I fed the scans through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software, corrected the transitional errors from the program (there were many!), adjusted the font, and added pictures where I thought they would benefit the collection of stories. I didn’t bother with copyright, as I have no intention of printing them, as I only want the information for research purposes, for which furthering purpose of mine I have included an index at the end of the document, using the “find” feature on my Word Program (2016). All that to say, it is what it is, and if you copy it watch what you do with it!

Along that score, should we – you and I, find a Tegart or McNeice family member that is closer in genealogical listing than my husband – Lorne is the great-nephew of Minnie’s husband George – than by all means, ask me for the original document I have “adjusted” and I will award copyright insofar as I am able, bearing in mind I have put roughly thirty to forty hours of editing work into what you see.

I have also added the latest Tegart post, which is a series of photo’s I have collected, mostly from a recent trip I made to the Saskatchewan Provincial Archives in Regina, Saskatchewan on July 29th, 2016.

So, here it is:

Minnie Tegart McNeice’s Mémoires
Tegart Photo Album All

If you download any pictures or information please reference my website at https://www.mccasa.ca.
