This site contains information and sources for the Klaas Kroeker (1720-1788) family. This Klaas married a Magdalena Penner. They had a son Klaas (married Maria Werner) who had a son Jacob (1836-1914 Lost River, Saskatchewan) who married Anna Zacharias, daughter of Jacob and Anna (Ginter). This family originated in the Chortitza Colony in South Russia and immigrated to the West Reserve in South-Western Manitoba in 1876.
Jacob had a son Klaas (1860-1928) who married Helena Dueck, daughter of his father’s second wife Helena, a widow, who had been married to Hermann Dueck (1833-1883); Helena’s maiden name was Fehr (her father was Isaac Fehr, mother Maria Falk). Jacob Jr. married a Giestbrecht, I would love information on them! Also, there are quite a number of Neufeld‘s married into this family so I am making an attempt to follow this Neufeld family as well.
Klaas and Helena’s oldest daughter Helena was married to my grandfather David H. Peters. There is a sub-heading under the Kroeker’s on that family.
I have written a book about the Klaas Kroeker family. That book is available through me at $60 plus shipping ($15 in Canada).
If you are a relative of this family I would be happy to connect. Please email me at email@example.com
